Introduction#

You can use PyFluent-Visualization to postprocess Fluent results to display graphics objects and plot data. With PyFluent-Visualization, you can:

  • Script postprocessing using Fluent’s built-in postprocessing capabilities. For more information, see Visualization.

  • Plot Fluent geometry and meshes using PyVista from within a Python script or an interactive Jupyter notebook.

  • Access Fluent surface-based field data as Python objects via NumPy arrays.

Documentation and issues#

In addition to installation and usage information, the PyFluent-Visualization documentation provides API reference, Examples, and Contributing sections.

This tool extends the functionality of Ansys Fluent by adding a Python interface to Fluent without changing the core behavior or license of the original software. The use of the interactive Fluent control of PyFluent-Visualization requires a legally licensed local copy of Fluent.
